Russia: Syrian missiles shot down Russian aircraft in crossfire. Moscow says its plane was caught in Syrian crossfire after Israeli jets used it for cover during attacks in Syria.
A Russian military aircraft was brought down by a Syrian missile over the Mediterranean Sea, killing all 15 people on board, the Russian defence ministry said.
Moscow blamed Israel for the crash, saying the reconnaissance plane was caught in the crossfire as four Israeli fighter jets attacked targets in northwestern Syria.

The Israeli military said the Russian plane fell victim to the “extensive and inaccurate” firing of Syrian surface-to-air missile systems and that the Israeli jets — which were carrying out a raid against a Syrian government facility in another place — had already left Syrian airspace by that point.

Middle East is a cluster F*ck right now, I'm not sure how to fix it or if it will be ever solved. I hope the USA does not waste anymore blood and treasure here. Also US meddling and regime change policy sometimes could work but more oftentimes were often bad terrible ideas. I realize there are many bad greedy extreme players here each with their own agenda, bad intentions also difficult to paint an honest picture of the Middle East, Syria, Israel etc when there are so many dishonest players and disinformation in the area.
