Not sure. Anyone wanting to watch will have to pay. I don't watch the new star trek because of that. Still, I like the thought of the show.

I’m just glad they’re moving the Star Trek story forward and not making yet another prequel.
It’s been, what? Since Nemesis that the timeline advanced? Hell, Firefly was still airing on FOX when that came out.

I am interested, but I’m still not going to pay for yet another streaming service just to watch it.

Not even for Patrick Stewart, I think.

I think I am rapidly giving up on TV and movies. In the next couple years my kiddo will be done with High School and I will either find a part time job or be dead. With all the cancer in my family, I never expected to make it to 40, but if I do...I plan to spend a hella lot more time NOT in front of a screen.

Gotta get busy livin' or get busy dyin'

Agree. Convert a van, head west youngin'. Custer's battlefield is particularly awesome even though most people I've met who've seen it say, "meh. It's just a grassy hilltop." "Exactly!" Lots to see out there - I could spend a couple lifetimes in Colorado alone.

As far as Trek - I did see 2 of the new episodes and it did not grab me - I thought it was trying too hard. But, like other series, sometimes you have to watch more than 2 to get what they're trying to do.

We just took our first trip in our van, but we went easterly. Popped over the mountains and woke my kid up and she went "Oh, wow! Look at THAT!
Priceless...

Had a campsite right on a river, just great to wake up to.

Ah good for you wish, enjoy enjoy...As for new shows and movies, I like character development and acting ones way out of a dilemma. It's all CGI now with the actors displaying different emotional expressions as the CGI folks create special effects around them, and it never stops and wheres the good story?
