Yup.
One of the many crazy reasons why I lean so far to the Right these days.
It's kind of insane how somewhere in the last decade the Democrats more closely resemble the old Neo-Cons than the current Republicans do.
I'm not really surprised about the whole party switch since they're really both two sides of the same coin, but it's amazing to me how hardly any of the people noticed the switch.

False Advertising Law and Legal Definition. Advertising is the act or practice of attracting public notice and attention. It includes all forms of public announcement that are intended to aid directly or indirectly in the furtherance or promulgation of an idea, or in directing attention to a business, commodity, service or entertainment.
"All forms of public announcement." This includes elected officials when running for office. All that's left to do is enforce it.

I agree with that. Every single one of them lies to get elected. We all know it, yet we do nothing about it.
How do you propose we go about enforcing these laws?
You'd essentially have to get all politicians to agree that they will be jailed for their lies.
I don't think this would ever happen, but the only way I see it happening is if there was a "Get out of jail free" card given to all current politicians for the lies they told to get elected. This would never pass unless the lies of the past were Grandfathered In.
