To be fair, my "educated guesses" are better than yours because (1) I draw from a wider variety of sources and (2) I know more than you do; and I know people who know more than I do and (3) I look for EVIDENCE and the all-important cui bono? to parse events, as opposed to wild-eyed accusations/ off-kilter speculations. I have a pretty good idea of your "sources" based on the kinds of opinion that you bring to the board, plus the links that you (collectively) post.

Ok ... I ASSUME that your sources are limited because you seem entirely unaware of so many things. Bad assumption on my part: It's entirely possible that you read widely and understand almost nothing of what you read.

And still... YOU, JO, SECOND, WISHY, and THUGR... have not been able to find a single instance of RUSSIA!!! doing us harm. When the topic comes up, it's like you jump into bed and pull the covers over your head because you're afraid that "something bad" might happen without having the faintest idea of what that "something" might be. Like a five-year-old. Seriously.

The reason why I keep bringing up the idea that you should engage your brain and come up with some basic concept of AMERICAN (not Syrian, not Venezuelan, not Baluchistani or Indonesian or Malawian or the EUan or fill-in-the-blankian, but AMERICAN) interests is not (just) because I think it would be an interesting and fruitful topic of discussion, but because YOU need to give shape to your own thoughts, even if you never bring them here to this board. Otherwise, you run the risk of reacting to tweets, publicity stunts and momentary events without having an metric against which to measure them:

Is this real? is it important? Who does this benefit? Who does this hurt? Is it a distraction? Should I respond, and (if so) how?

Now, I don't know how often "you", specifically, have been wrong, but I know that people like you have been wrong quite often, having been stampeded on Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, Grenada, Ukraine, Libya, Syria, and Sudan; having been wrong about the last election; and STILL wrong ... not only about RUSSIA!!!! but also about what "most" Americans are concerned about, and the most urgent problems facing us.
