Buffy Reboot in the works

I'm not seeing this widely reported. So, take it with a grain of salt. Still it's interesting. Also, remember that Disney is in the process of buying most of Fox's assets. So, even if this is currently in the greenlight phase there's probably more than a little possibility that it will get derailed by all the changes.

That being said, if it did happen what do people think?

I think it sounds interesting. Joss will be in sort of a consultation role as a producer. New blood writing and acting. New issues to examine. I worry about the line that they're looking for a black lead actress. Not because I think it wouldn't work, but there's a lot of backlash on the internet over race swapping characters. I expect a vocal group to take offense to that decision and I would hate for that to overshadow the whole show. I guess the only way to fix it is for Hollywood to continue to ignore the backlash and barrel ahead time and time again until it dies down. Here's to hoping everything works out.

I have absolutely no interest in that, even with Joss involved.

But, I’m sure I’m not the demographic they’re aiming for.

Maybe they'll change the template to the new Hollywood. They could change the lead characters to women and stuff.
