This has probably been posted before but in Bushwacked and Safe when Sernity "visits" the Alliances crusies they are attached to the bottom of the hull upside down but the walk off rightside up .

I saw a thing on the spacestation MIR once, and all the rooms on MIR were fliped all over the place, so rightside up to one was upside down to another and sideways to another so that whenever anybody moved from one room to the other they had to orient themselves differnt to each room. (Remember, they don't have artificail gravity, so its no big deal)

Stay with me here.

Ok, so as far as I can figure, that white tubing stuff they walked through to get from Serenity to the Aliance ship does some crazy gravitational spiny thing and as people walk from one to the other they flip over so as to be oriented correctly for the vessil they're getting onto.

Make any sense?

It can also be argued that there really is no up or down in space because there is no gravity. Its all a matter of what your comparing yourself too.

Way I figure it, the only way you can tell up from down in space is if you're on a ship with artificial gravity. Otherwise, there is no up and down.

Simon: You...you came for us.
Mal: You're on my crew.
Simon: Right. I guess I just didn't...you don't even like me.
Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Only explanation that's made sense to me. I'd love to see the helical walk in the movie.

Well you could go with the Galactic pull or Solar system gravitation
for example most planets in the solar system will orbit along the same plane or disk

Then most Solar-systems and Clusters will orbit in the same General direction around the core of the Galaxy.

Well with artificial gravity behind the docking tube could be a deck with a 180-degree curve that sets the people right with the rest of the ship.

For those confused (I confused my self and I knew what I was talking about) here is what I said in a primitive graphical format known as MS-Paint.

That's kind of like an escalator.

Don't know what up is, but one thing's for sure--the enemy's gate is down.

It's a trap!
