I don't know if Cloverfield is supposed to go to DVD.

Out 23 February. Haven't seen a trailer, but I recall some people really enjoyed Moon.

Moon was one of the last truly excellent films I've seen.

I had the pleasure of seeing it for the first time twice, actually.

Saw it on my dad's old 36" tube TV, and then a few months later watched it with my brother on his new-at-the-time 1080 flatscreen. It was the first movie I'd ever seen on a large true HD screen and it was simply amazing. Even though I probably wouldn't put Moon in my top 10 movies of all time, I will surely never forget it because of that moment. I imagine it was somewhat similar the feeling people got the first time they saw a movie in color.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

In the 80s I watched movies a lot, far more than I do now.
I had set up my home system with calibrated sound imaging, which my guests found amazing and disorienting.
The first cinema film I saw with the Surround Sound was Aliens. I remember that quite clearly, and I consider it one of the best films in history.

I just noticed that Strangers has our Christina playing the mom of Bailee Madison from Jane's Once Upon a Time.

I missed Bad Samaritan, but DVD comes out 14 August. Kerry Condon was also Friday in Avengers.

There is one movie I wish to add, which may or may not be listed here already (I'm too lazy to look)

Mortal Engines

It's due out in December 14, 2018

Looks awesome!

Sounds interesting. I missed Sheehan in Bad Samaritan. And Leila George has The Kid and Long Home as well. I first recall her mom vividly in The Coca Cola Kid.

I haven't really been seeing any TV in Prime Time lately, but I conjured I would have been inundated with ads for Alita by now. Haven't seen one in months, I think.

Anybody seen any? Does it look good?

Comes out this Friday, then the next week is MI6, and Extinction.

Alita got rescheduled for 21 December.

Arrrg. Now nothing to watch at the theater.

A Simple Favor.
Although Anna Kendrick's onslaught of bland roles in bland movies has underwhelmed me, and I am not enamored by Blake Lively, I find this film sounds interesting. I don't know why, but I am hopeful.
Out 14 September.

Also has Gia from the SJW reboot of Greatest American Hero.

So today or tomorrow are Extinction and MI:6.
Anybody planning to watch either?

Wow... They're on MI6 now? I don't think I've seen any of them after 2.
