I hate it. I want it to stop. I've hoped that certain presidents would stop it. They haven't.
Our economy depends on war. It's built around it. It serves the purposes of the 1%. The MSM NEVER met a war they wouldn't cheerlead. Americans are easily led to believe that countries like Iran or NK are actual threats to us, and that we must bomb those "others" for our own safety.
I'd love for this country to start seeking peaceful solutions, promote diplomacy, fair trade, and to honor higher principles.
I'd also love to be a wizard, or fly around the universe in a Firefly, but that's not going to happen, either.
We've still got people who think Trump is a good president, and that there's a "white genocide" going on. We've got TV personalities telling us that taking kids away from their parents and imprisoning them is a good thing.
American imperialism is the elephant in the room, and the main reason such atrocities are committed all over the world.
So, what do we do about it? America's too stupid to change. Putin isn't going to suddenly grow a conscience, any more than Blumpy's going to grow a brain.
We can't even agree whether or not climate change is real, or that it might be a good idea to seriously address that, even while we're wiping out record numbers of species.
I'm not hopeful.

My only disagreement is while I too am not hopeful short term, long term I am very hopeful, even positive. Trump is showing the majority of us who we don't want to be. I think he is the ass kicking we needed to become a better country.

Considering I was apolitical until Herr Trumpski was elected and started running his mouth and being a traitor...IT'S NOT ME.
I don't want much contact in general with 99.999999999 percent of this planet, much less be a part of a war....But joining the war against Trumptards??? TOTALLY worth it.
