I know. That's what I've been saying, and Robinson and Meecham's cases are evidence of this and I can't imagine the UK government is too happy what a large spotlight this issue is getting right now.

I'm going to need cites since I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to here.

One was the Autopsy Report on Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who died from a bullet to the brain. To cover up this death, an entire plane was mysteriously crashed (no survivors). The handgun (from onboard the plane) was never found. Although he had died from the bullet prior to the plane crashing, the Clinton Spin was that Brown died from the plane crash. After the unclassified Autopsy photos were used in a seminar, which accidentally exposed the truth, those Doctors were transferred to Timbuktu (actually IIRC Barstow, AK) and the Autopsy was Classified, so anybody revealing it would be subject to National Security Laws, prison for Treason, and revocation of any Security Clearances. The Ron Brown funeral was the one where BJ Clinton was caught on film laughing and joking during the funeral.
Another example was the Crash Investigation Report of Navy Lt Kara Hultgreen. When the report showed clearly that the White House Spin was complete fabrication, and polar opposite of the truth, Clinton had it Classified also.
Sharing, transmitting, or even possessing copies of these documents became a violation of National Security. You go straight to prison, do not pass go, or get a trial.
After review, I see a copy of the MIR in a similar version to one I might have seen. It has leaked to the Internet.
www.panix.com/~baldwin/hultgreen_mir.txt
If you want to read it, the key parts are the Acronyms near the beginning, and at the end is section 12.Conclusions and look at B.
You might not like the format and syntax of military communications.
There were 9 Primary and 8 Secondary Causes of the crash. Primary Causes can each cause a crash individually. Secondary Causes can only contribute toward a crash, they cannot cause any crash on their own. All 9 of the Primary Causes and the first 6 of the Secondary Causes were Pilot Error.

I think it's a stretch calling this Prohibition of Speech, although I do think it's abuse of power to cause concern if it actually went down as you say.
I don't reckon there's any Administration that hasn't had plenty of classified documents for one reason or another. This is not an example of violations of Free Speech as we're discussing them in this thread, and I don't know what the purpose of this thread being obfuscated by this type of partisan rhetoric and he-said-she-said anecdotes is.
In fact, given that the citizens of the UK aren't constitutionally granted any rights to Freedom of Speech at all, there aren't any examples of Freedom of Speech being violated here in this thread if we're being completely honest.
I think that the lesson here for citizens of the UK is that it is high time they fight for their right to Free Speech, lest they find themselves in the Gulag one day for thoughtcrime.
It should be noted that Robinson's sentencing is being viewed as a death sentence by many citizens of the UK. There are many who don't think that he will survive his 11 month stint in prison. This was pointed out to the judge who issued the sentencing, to which his reply was "he knew what he was getting into".

USA sometimes has Freedom of Speech, but Clintons and Obama were able to quash that by Classifying uncomfortable truths which they felt were unflattering. Not sure if Brits are copying Clintons here, or vice versa.
It's definitely vice versa. We still have free speech here... at least, more than anywhere else in the world. We're the only country that has it written as a basic right in their Constitution. To say our level of freedom of speech is anywhere as low as Britain or Scotland is hyperbole.
I think that's what Mark Meechan and Tommy Robinson are trying to prove to everyone else right now.
Do Right, Be Right. :)
I would feel negligent to not also point out that there is actually no True Free Speech. There is always a cost. Freedom of Speech is an idea, an ideal, an illusion, not an actual practice. Under Clinton the jeopardy was much greater - particularly loss of Life, Liberty, or Pursuit of Happiness.
Freedom of Speech was such a controversial and radical concept that it is not actually included in The Constitution as ratified. But it is one of the 6 Rights granted or endorsed within the Amendment to The Constitution which was First Ratified.
Freedom of Speech in America is not an illusion. I think you need to pay more attention to cases like Robinson's and Meechan's as examples of living in a supposed "Democracy" that makes no such provisions compared to our own. That's not even to mention places like China where just Google searching something they don't want you to could put you in the Gulag.
There can very well be a cost for the use of Freedom of Speech though, particularly if you're using it in places where it's not appropriate. In America though, these costs generally tend to be social costs, such as being ostracized by people or even the loss of a job for speaking your mind, and generally do not ultimately end in criminal charges.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

There is also a place or series of place names speakers corner if I recall. A tradiational debate area where open-air public speaking, debate, and discussion are allowed. They have tried similar 'speeker area' in other countries and it is usually not long before the government or some rioting mob steps in.

"Traditional"
Does that mean there are Legal Protections, Legislated Authority?
Do you know the Granting Authority of these?
Or is it merely a practice of non-enforcement?
So nobody in England is covering this, reporting to Brits? Is anybody in Yurp?

I couldn't tell you if it's getting any news coverage since I don't watch it.
There's a lot on YouTube about the situation though. If you want to know more, you should look at recent videos of Sargon of Akkad and Count Dankula.
