Now that winter is over, New York is only getting 15 inches from Storm Toby, and now North Dakota and Minnesota is getting little more than a foot.

Winter ended last month, but northern states are getting big snow. Upper Midwest is supposed to get "heavy snow" on Friday, Sat, Sun, and Monday.
Last week was only 12 inches.

heh... yeah. I remember Milwaukee winters. Geographically speaking, where I am now wouldn't look much different on a map to somebody who's never lived there, but it's been my experience that the further NorthWest along Lake Michigan you get the more that lake effect snow can pummel you.
That's not to say I haven't been hit hard since I've lived where I am now, but I don't miss literally being snowed in someplace.
Hope your snowblower is up to the task. Mine just might be the single greatest purchase I ever made after my house.

A few days ago the weatherguessers said that it was April snow, so it would melt right away and not accumulate. So I let my guard down.
Wrong. Everything is closed, libraries, churches, colleges. My city Street, across the road from the High School, has not been plowed since the snow started, except a one-lane path. The plow trucks had already been mostly converted to spring/summer use.
And yes, a few blocks away Lambeau Field is closed.

And everything is closed on Monday, and Snow Emergency plus closings declared for Tuesday.
And some businesses have had their roofs collapsed. Now THAT is something unexpected for April. That does not happen often in Wisconsin.

Had a roof collapse up here not this winter but last winter. That was unexpected.

Our news showed that the roof collapses were a hotel (occupied), barn - trapping livestock, and carports (smashed 7 cars).
Showed a local school buried, only the upper Windows above the entrance plus the roof were visible.
Ranked 2nd heaviest snow storm on record for Green Bay, after the 1 March 1888 storm.
So anyway, what is the total snowfall events that this thread was started for? A couple hundred?
