I found an interesting article on Radium (company doing the FX for Firefly) at http://www.vfxpro.com/article/mainv/0,7220,20147,00.html
It doesn't have much to do with Firefly but it might be of interest to people anyway.
Radium also has a web site at http://www.radium.com but I can't view anything since it requires Flash Player 5, which my computer doesn't have. Bugger.

Thanks for the link. I took a look at Radium's website, not much to see there, so you didn't miss much.

That's too bad, considering all the trouble it takes to get inside, but thanks for checking anyway.
At least I can get some decent information from http://www.vfxpro.com about them.
It sounds like TV is their new thing, but I wonder if Firefly is their first TV series? From the screen shots at this site they seem like they do some good work. Now to see it in action...

As a follow-up, I received an e-mail today from Mark at Radium (thanks!) who said they do the FX work on Smallville, Buffy and Angel, so I'm *definitely* not worried now. Too bad I don't get many results when I do a search for Radium on Google. And since I'm one who actually *reads* end credits I want to kick myself in the butt for not knowing this.
Ugh, me not do homework well.

Well, you can download Flash here:
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version
=ShockwaveFlash
It's only half a meg -- two or three minutes at dialup speeds.
But the real problem is that the Radium site has a lot of buggy javascript. Doesn't always work even if you *do* have Flash. And all the Flash app does is show stills from their projects. They'd be better off with a simple HTML site.
