What if any Russian 'disinformation' campaign in the US ...

... is meant to influence the US public by telling us some truths?

Yanno, there's been a whole new resurgence of claims of armies - ARMIES! I tell you ! - of Russian trolls launching MASSIVE campaigns to influence the election, and the public.

So I spent a number of hours scouring all the usual msm 'sources', especially WaPo. I tracked down and read every link, and every link in every linked article ... and so on till I got down to the beginning link in every series of links.

All I found was one recent reference to one submitter who CounterPunch couldn't track down irl. And who the FBI believes/ claims (or claims to believe) is a Russian troll (for unstated reasons). There was literally nothing new behind this new propaganda push. And there was still no evidence, either old or new, to support any claims about Russian 'hacking', Russians trolls, or Russian anything.

And as everyone who's looked at the work product of this purported troll has concluded, there was nothing controversial, or even political, in these submissions. Aside from that, the articles weren't even widely disseminated.

I couldn't find any hordes, or anything political.

So, what is the purpose of this one troll, this 'army' of one? It's really hard to say. All I can conclude is that every unexplained fact that makes it past the gatekeepers, every unanswered plausible claim, is one more crack in the carefully-painted picture we're meant to see.

What if we're being propagandized with the slow drip, drip, drip, of truth.

Once again, trying to find reasons for the US to fellate Russia, after all the bitching you do that WE talk about Russia too much.

You have to KNOW by now we don't give a damn what Russian Trolls think, right?

You could bring Putin and Jesus Christ in for show and tell and we STILL KNOW what your agenda is...

You know you aren't going to sell pure socialism to the rethugs here, they don't even want to join basic societal funding for basic functions... like roads... and keeping kids and old people from starving.

I was actually trying to figure out what the heck is behind the latest flurry of Russia-blaming. I read several articles that all focused on the same 'problem' of 'armies' of Russian agents trying to bamboozle the US. They even used the same words and phrases.

Well, *I* didn't know there was anything new, different, noteworthy going on. So I went looking. I mean I REALLY went looking. What in HECK were they going on about?

And all I could find was the puzzling case of the non-troll troll, who never posted anything noteworthy, or controversial, OR EVEN POLITICAL.

Hm. Is THAT the troll army? And, if so - what could they possibly be trying to do?

And all I can figure is - if they're not posting anything controversial, or inflammatory, or critical, or even political - maybe they're trying to sow distrust in the government and media by telling us the truth. That's all that seems to be left.

I'm confused by your "findings" as well. You say it's one person but then you say "they." Did you forget your premise?
