Looking forward to yours (already pre-ordered), and I must say that with Watt-Evans AND Lackey in there in the other book, I'd best pre-order it to!
Folks, I'd guess preordering these sorts of things is a great way to guerilla market the movie. Am I right? If so, preorder!

It's being published by BenBalla books. ( http://www.benbellabooks.com/) I heard about it back in Sept. at Noreascon 4, when I talked to a representative of the publisher who was at the con.
They've also done similar collections of essays about Buffy and Angel, titled respectively "Seven Seasons of Buffy" and "Five Seasons of Angel". Not the most imaginative names, but I read a review of "Five Seasons of Angel" that said it was quite good.
Outside of the Whedon-verse they've done an essay book for Stargate called "Stepping Through the Stargate". Now why can't the do ones for other great shows like Farscape or babylon 5?
Nonetheless, it looks like a great collection of essays, and it's wonderful to get this level of discussion for such a short series. Guess we're not the only ones who think Firefly is really really good.

Well, he was always nice to me, but only because I gave him whatever he wanted. He reduced one of my copyeditors to tears though, and she was a sweet girl.
Brilliant f-ing writer, though. If anyone has earned the right to be a bit tetchy at times, it's Harlan Ellison.

I have that book, I've read it a few times. It really is good. Thank you for putting it together! I too would buy this for Gerrold's essay alone. But the rest of it sure does sound like some awful sweet icing.
