Suzie, Martin was also in The Office, a FANTASTIC british comedy on BBC America.

I've heard good things about The Office, but haven't yet seen it. Guess I can put it on my Netflix list these days, right?
(Is it anything like the American "Office Space" film?)

Only sort of. I've only seen the first couple of episodes of the Office, but it's done in a mockumentary style (think more Spinal Tap) - really painful, yet really funny. This guy plays one of two co-workers who are forced to share adjacent desks. The other guy is the insufferable office suck-up, and he's the person who's perfected the art of annoying the bejeezus out of said suck up without really doing anything you can call him on.

...................... so since there's no way I can start waiting in 3 lines at once, today, I'll just have to go about my business until April and hope for the best!!

YAY!
Look who's playing the hollogram!!!!!!
The REAL Arthur Dent, Simon Jones!
I tell you, this movie would not be as good without a cameo from Simon Jones. Whoohoo!

Good list, but I think we can safely cross out "Elektra," unless you're only going to see it for the Serenity trailer. I mean, c'mon, "Daredevil" was awful enough.

Would you describe these letters as "large and friendly?" I wouldn't. It's a recurring theme in the book. And I will re-read the book many times, regardless of whether or not the movie is good.
Hehe. Yeah, I think you're right. I also seem to remember mention of the letters being red.
I'm totaly excited about this movie, and I LOVE the books, I actually brought them up to make a worthwhile point in AP European History yesterday, and I really want to pull one of the "excerts" from the guide to use as a monologe for theater (I'm thinking the one about towels).

I think I actually did that back in high school-- I needed a non-movie scene for an assignment, and used the scene where Arthur and Ford first wake up on the Vogon ship. Arthur is terrified-- Ford is just hungover.
Of course, my high school class had NO idea what was going on, and I think my decision to use a tape-recorder to stand in for the Guide kind of brought the scene to a screeching halt.
STILL... it's funny, if you know your audience.
