Awwwww man.. it was cancelled? I'm so out of the loop.
I didn't watch every episode of the 3rd season yet. I'm sure they left it on a cliffhanger though. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as the Sarah Connor Chronicles cancellation. :(
Why do all of the good shows keep getting cancelled?

Now that it's cancelled after Season 3, is it worth watching?
Does it end with a cliffhanger?
Wow...wasn't aware it had gone on 3 seasons. I liked it. There IS a 'After Dark ' show which is either on SyFy or their website. I enjoy Talk the Thrones , so I imagine it's worth while to watch too.
Killjoys, which launched the same time as Dark Matter, is returning in 2018, it seems.
( I had started a thread about both shows as being some sort of homage to Firefly, as both had elements of our BDH. )

Season Three ends on a cliffhanger, although I think less of one than the previous two seasons.
Even with the cliffhanger, the first three seasons are definitely worth watching. For my money, this is probably the closest we've had to Firefly on the air since 2002 (with Killjoys a solid second). There were a few twists in both that I didn't love taking us more solidly into the "sci fi!" genre, but still both definitely enjoyable.
Killjoys was renewed for 2 more seasons, so we'll get a 5 season story arc, and they'll have the opportunity to wrap the story up in a satisfactory manner.
Dark Matter, unfortunately, was really picking up steam in a mythology sense, and the creator has stated that he had a 5-year arc in mind, and that we'd see the payoff of a lot of the seeds planted this season throughout the next two. With that in mind, I'm 99.9% sure that the story of Dark Matter isn't over.
Even if they're not picked up by a Netflix or Hulu, Dark Matter actually started as a comic, with a 4-issue "proof of concept" series that covers the same material as the pilot. Cocreator Joseph Mallozzi comments on this on his blog and confirms that he is dedicated to telling the end of the story in some medium. He just needs some time to decide which.
I just wish we'd gotten to see all of Four's mercs and bounty hunters in action.

Thanks for the info, GWEK.
If a continuation is officially announced (in any media), I'll give it a watch.
I really don't want to get into a story to only have it end right in middle again.

I still think watching the show just for that time loop episode is worth it. I'm not sure it would be as funny if you didn't know the characters. I'm usually not a fan of any particular single episodes, especially since most of the great shows aren't episodic anymore, but that one reminds me of earlier days when shows like DS9 and TNG had their one off goofy episodes.
