Movie goers posting their own reviews on websites and on YOUTUBE have been having more impact lately then film critics, we'll find out next weekend if the flick takes a dive in the box office. Some critics will give a film good reviews so they keep getting invites to A-list parties and/or getting access to the stars. Variety is the worse, they're the biggest group of celeb ass kissers on the planet, TMZ is a close 2nd.

I never said that I've never played a violent game before. It's just not my personal taste. When I do play them, it's usually games like Fallout or Dead Rising where the violence isn't against other human beings, but even that is beside the point.
Not only do games not look nearly as real as big budget movies, at least today, but there is very little overlap between the two mediums. There is nowhere near the level of realism in the immersion in games as there is in movies. Movies live or die based off of that, because it is the only means of interaction with the viewer. Video games have many other things going for them at the same time. It's one of the reasons why nobody has been able to make a video game movie that is any good.
Did I play Grand Theft Auto Vice City and San Andreas back in the day? Sure. For many hours. It never made me feel at all uncomfortable because I knew I wasn't actually shooting somebody or watching somebody else do it. 7 seconds of the trailer for the first Kingsmen movie was enough for me to tell my brother to turn it off though. That's the closest to real that I've ever seen somebody getting shot in the face, point blank. Add to it that it was a woman and it was in a church. Just gross.
I'm sure things like that don't bother you anymore when you've seen all of the Saw movies and The Human Centipede.
Have fun with that crap.
I'm proud of the fact that I have no stomach for ultraviolent crap like this. I'm equally bothered by the fact that so many other people do.
