Hunh?

Rue,

I did the same test as you stated above, answer no opinion on everything except "reduce taxation on the rich" which I put in support.

It came back as 1 tick up towards Libertarian and 1 tick to the right towards conservative.
So 1 up and 1 right from dead center moderate.

It seems to work ok to me. Whats up?

Moderate Populist
Personal Score 38%
Economic Score 25%

* I'm a supporter of a flat 10% income tax with NO deductions for every income level.

* I support national health and cannot fathom why King George is supporting universal healthcare in Iraq when he fights it at home -- other than he isn't getting huge fat whonking contributions from the Iraqi health industry.

* I see no positives to guns that can get through metal detectors.

It says I'm a hard-core liberal, I agree with that.

Personal Score 88%
Economic Score 6%

It's a little strange though, calling myself a liberal. In Australia the liberal party is the conservative party and the labor party is the left-wing party. Never understood how they managed to acquire the title "liberal".

Don't know what's up. I thought maybe the back and forth on the test messed up the pages, so I tried resetting EVERYTHING to no-opinion to re-establish 'moderate', which it did successfully, then changing ONE answer, which did move the dot, but not in ways I expected.

But I am having a hard time with this website at times as well, so maybe it's a computer-thing.

I'd just like to add that I think the other tests on that website are pretty informative as well.

I didn't like that test because I couldn't argue my points.

For example: Abortion Is A Woman's Right. Yes, but in my opinion, it is also a man's.

Allow Churches To Provide Welfare Services: Churches actually have the greatest percentage of each dollar going towards the need instead of the administration. I agree with it because it is an established system that works. Church vs State doesn't influence my decision here.

Reduce use of coal and oil as energy sources: I beleive we should be self-seficiant because I don't believe in sending money to the Middle East, not because I care about the enviornment, global warming or the fuzzy wuzzys.

The list goes on but you get my drift.
