I think it has been Wishi that has been on a little kick regarding group identity and name-calling or bullying. I've been watching with curious interest and she hasn't lost steam yet, but the success rate hasn't been promising. The concept just doesn't take so far with the worst offenders.
I don't see any reason yet for her to give up.

I do, so I know you can find an article about some form of white based violence at least one a week in this country. I also know from experience that is a small fraction of *ACTUAL INCIDENTS. Many never get reported.

You'd be better served using the Merriam Webster definition, a bit.

3 parts to that definition you posted - 3 separate concepts, but globbed together indistinctly.
1. Prejudice. (To Pre-Judge)
2. Discrimination. (discern or treat unequally)
3. Belief in superiority.

#3: it would seem that a belief in superiority based solely upon racial composition is clear-cut enough that everyone might agree. Can't think of any group which would disagree.

So that leaves #1 and #2 to be unglobbed.
Some decades ago I learned that some Public Schools had started changing word definitions such that Prejudice and Discrimination were the exact same word instead of two different words with different meanings. This confusion was created to belie the meaning of racism.

#2: when I discern or discriminate at the grocery store for my food purchases it's to get a good deal on the food based upon prices and quality - and avoiding blind allegiance to any mantra that "all food is equal" which some people do subscribe to.
But to discriminate for or against person(s) based purely upon perceived or assumed racial makeup is unfair and also illegal and immoral, unethical.

#1: Prejudice, or pre-judging, is an evolutionary instinct ingrained through thousands of generations of every living creature with a brain (and some without).
If you are moseying down the sidewalk and see an approaching tiger, is your first instinct to go pet the giant kitty and help it get back to the nearest zoo - or to seek protective shelter for you and yours? Perhaps your child might pick the former. But if adult you opts for the former, Darwinism will remove you from the gene pool in favor of those selecting the latter option. This is prejudice. It cannot be irradicated without rewiring the brain (and rendering humans defenseless, insipid, unviable).
By not letting your prejudice control you, and choosing to override your instinct, you can determine other options or courses of action, but the prejudice will still be present as a result of evolution.
