EW.COM - The popular Joss Whedon fan site announced Monday it is 'closing down' and will become a read-only site 'at some stage' in the future. The site was a discussion board hub for all things related to The Avengers director and Firefly showrunner, who has inspired a passionate and loyal fan community that few writer-producers in Hollywood can match.

Sadly, this only supports what we've seen from Joss as of late... not acting very ' feminist ' friendly, in trashing women on their political views, mocking them on their looks, comparing them to dogs, insinuating they're whores...

Since Whedonesque is closing, I'm ever so thankful to Haken that this little corner of the 'Verse is still here.

I wish it could have closed on a better note, this seems to end in a bad way and that's sad.
But all things come to an end.
