That's also a pretty interesting find.

No argument, but we've been digging for generations, and it seemed like new discoveries were slow going for quite a few years, and now there's a big spurt. I haven't heard of a cause for this ebb or flow.

Man has been finding neat fossils in the ground for a very long time, but only since the industrial revolution , when mining for ore and coal did we really begin to take serious note. And it really wasn't until the 1800's , when ' dinosauria ' was first coined by Sir Richard Owen.

Then there were the great Bone Wars in the western USA, primarily between 2 men, Edward Drinker Copeland and O.C. Marsh.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_Wars

We can credit the more recent works by Dr. John Ostrom and his student, Dr.Robert Bakker, for recognizing that dinosaurs weren't just big , slow, cold blooded lizards, but were closely related to birds, and were quite active.

And of course there's Jurassic Park , which made dinos top billing to the public. Interest creates a demand, and demands must be funded... so the more stuff we find, the more interest is generated. Museums will pay top dollar for a great specimen, and 'Sue' is a perfect example.

The almost complete skeleton of Corythoraptor jacobi, including its skull and jaw,...

Complete skeletons, with skull, are damn rare. That it's also a brand new species, only makes it more of a prize.

Now all we have to do is go back to calling Pluto a planet and me and Science can be friends again.

Trump is not the problem. He set himself against the Deep State's agenda. And the Deep State's been heading for WWIII for years.
As for you, you're just a Deep State useful idiot, furthering its agenda. So I hope you enjoy cesium in your coffee. You've earned it.

Mickey Mouse is having a nasty divorce with Minnie Mouse. Mickey spoke to the judge about the separation. "I'm sorry Mickey, but I can't legally separate you two on the grounds that Minnie is mentally insane..." Mickey replied, "I didn't say she was mentally insane, I said that she's fucking Goofy!"

Those big huge clavicles! And those itty bitty little front arms. What did she do with them? Pick her back two teeth? Scratch her neck? Helplessly clench her little fists in rage?

It is a mystery as to what T.Rex did w/ those smallish arms, but the crests on the bones, which is where tendons attached, indicate they were quite muscular. Maybe they were on the way out, evolutionary speaking, but I doubt those on the eating end of her jaws gave them too much thought.

And those jaws ? 2x as large as any other carnivore, which go a long way in making T.Rex's bite the strongest in the natural world.

There may have been carnivores that stood taller, or were longer, but none had the power as T.Rex did w/ those jaws. Not even close.

Speaking of T Rex - the latest is that they couldn't run. Their bone structure couldn't withstand the forces of running.

Cite ? Dr. Bakker and an array of other studies would disagree.

* Oh, nvm. I see. Some random 'study' makes noise and everyone reports it. Fine. Great.
