So the whole "17 intelligence agencies confirm Russian hacking" story the Dems eagerly and desperately latched on to and gleefully spread was a big lie. It was total bullshit. Once again Susan Rice lied her ass off on tv to the American people. So did CNN, MSNBC, and the major networks.

They tell and repeat the lie thousands of times since 2016, and then there's a quick silent retraction, but by then their vile lies have taken root. I never believed any of it. How fucking pathetic for those that did.

Really, you mean the assessment made by these four intelligence agencies about the Russian hackings is not enough for you. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency.

The premise of the story is of the Russian hacking. Instead, for you its about a mistake made by the Times about how many agencies signed off on the assertion of Russia interference.

For me these four saying its so is good enough. If you're American and not just a sockpuppet, it should be enough for you as well.

GOP Operative Sought Clinton Emails From Hackers, Implied a Connection to Flynn

Republican who said he was working with Michael Flynn tried to get Hillary Clinton emails from hackers

A Republican operative who said he was working with former Trump campaign adviser Michael Flynn tried to obtain Hillary Clinton’s emails from hackers, according to a report.

Emails from before the 2016 presidential election show that Peter Smith and his associates treated the future National Security adviser and his company as “allies” in their search, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Smith, a private equity financier, died at 81 on May 14, according to a Chicago-area obituary.

The Journal reported that it spoke to him 10 days before his death, when he said he knew Flynn but never stated that Flynn was involved in his email plan that began around Labor Day 2016.

No, it isn't. There was a time when the President, the Vice President, the Scy State, the Scy Defense, and the CIA stood should-to-shoulder and told us all the Saddam had WMD. Judith Miller of the NYT carried Cheney's water by publishing exclusive "leaks". But it was all bullshit.

Attribution of intrusions is very difficult, especially since the NSA developed tools which allow anyone to look like anyone else.

So do you really think that the NSA (which BTW engaged in illegal surveillance of possibly millions of people, and lied about it to the press, and which to this day maintains a database of illegally/ questionably obtained surveillance data) and its sister agencies (which freely access the NSA database) would have done anything to reveal its masquerading software?

Nope! They'd all line up, shoulder-to-shoulder, and claim "the Russians did it". And BTW, the FBI never even examined the server containing Podesta's email. They just let some third-party tell them what happened. Consdiering how the FBI bungled the Hillary email investigation, I wouldn't trust them to investigate my shoelaces.

So, if this Republican researcher is looking for the emails in hacker chatrooms, it kind of implies that he had no previous connections to hackers, and didn't have the emails, otherwise he wouldn't be blindly poking around on the internet.

If anything, this story exonerates this one particular individual. And if he really DID have a connection to Flynn, it exonerates Flynn as well.
