IMdB allows you to make a list of films and TV programs you have seen or liked. That it associated with Amazon means nothing to me. I have never used the service. I am simply listing the films I like. I own a lot of them and some I've seen either on broadcast TV or a website that shows them for free.

I guess a teaser for Star Trek: Discovery was just released.
The protagonist is the First Officer, Number One, of the title spaceship.
Jason Isaacs is the Captain.
Rainn Wilson is Mudd, whuch is the character in the original series which referenced this part of future history, but was never explored in story.
This series apparently takes place 10 years prior to the Original Series.

Jason Isaacs? Huh. That gives me a tiny bit of interest in it. Otherwise, I've been looking forward more to the "fan"made stuff like Axanar and Star Trek Continues.

Yep, and those 2 aren't even the prime protagonist, so it sounds interesting to me as well. But it is too bad they don't want me to see it.
If they get it to DVD I should be able to enjoy it - but this thread is already a little old, they've been working on this a while.

Too many cooks in the kitchen means dinner goes in the trash.

Not sure they cast it properly to start with. That would kill a project faster than anything else.

Looks like Jason Isaacs has had some work done...

I'm guessing the trailer Captain gets killed in the pilot and is replaced by Isaacs.
Which of course creates the central conflict since the main character feels she should have gotten the command.

I'm a little interested, but not enough to pay for the CBS sub service.

I think I heard Netflix has bought it too?
