I think it was a move to fake out the deep state, and no actual war is coming. Of course Putin will be forced to do something to please his people, who will not be happy if he just twiddles his thumbs.

Somewhere it hurt us, an ally in the middle east. I assume the real target will be ISIS, w/o narratives is our ally, and Putin know this, and ISIS actually did the attack, probably under unofficial US orders. He won't attack Israel because it's a Russian ally as well, but he'll do something that sends a public message and one that sends a message to deep state as well, saying "look, i can be really annoying." If Putin got involved on the anti-Saudi side in Yemen, that would be deeply annoying to the PNAC crowd. I'm not sure that would speak to the Russians. Wait and see what Lavrov says, then interperet the subtext.

What do people make of the fact that Russia's much-vaunted air defence systems were not even activated to defend against the strikes (despite a US-supplied pre-warning)? I can think of a couple of different reasons...

THUGGER, jonesing for war, extra war, and more war. Total war. Forever war. First it was bin Laden. Then the Taliban. Then Hussein. Then Yanukovych. Then Aristide. Then Gaddafi. BUT PUTIN

They're all Emmanuel Goldstein.

Care to try addressing the facts, again?

Or do you shoot nothing but blanks?

KPO,

An underhanded agreement between Trump and Putin to get rid of the deep state coup. Missile defense systems are not very reliable, they would reduce they number of missiles that hit, but with 59 some would get through. And then the Americans would send more. He knew the attack was coming, if there wasn't an agreement, he would have sunk our ship.

Quote:

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov:

The Kremlin considers the American strikes against Syria an aggression against a sovereign government in violations of the norms of international law, and under a far-fetched pretext. This step by Washington is causing significant damage to Russian-American relations, which are already in a deplorable state.

1kiki,

Yep, we got that. It answers that question. Second too, I'm afraid. So they were only anti-Trump because they were pro-war. Now we've settled that.

Do you know what Caveat Emptor means?

And who are "you guys"? Seriously Jack, if you just going to post lies, sorry, "untruths," I'll go back to ignoring your posts - we have too many liars already.

BTW - EVERYONE - it's too early to call this good, nothing, or bad. It's definitely interesting though.

It means let the buyer beware.

"You guys" are exactly what it sounds like.

By all means, go back to ignoring my posts.
