Some terrific sparks flew in past battles. I remember when i stopped arguing: she said to River that actually got to me. You'll notice things like this around here, there's a distance between some users that cannot be explained by their current political positions. Also, a lack of tension between some users.

I HAVE traded in my assumption that big government is the answer to our problems, tho. That kind of thinking means that bigger governments are better governments (because they can solve bigger problems) but looking at how corrupted OUR government is - both parties - made me realize that a one-world government would have more of the downsides of our current government but "Now with more corruption and less accountability"!
I'm going to again recommend the first half of the first book of Rissa Kerguelen by Busby, if you want to think about how that plays out.

SIG suffers delusions, it's disturbing. In SIG's case part of her delusions are irrational beliefs. She displays a high level of conviction and refuses to change her opinions. Even when she is exposed to proof that contradicts her. Her delusions are plausible because there is a possibility they could actually occur, but only a small portion of the time. She sees spooks and conspiracies everywhere.
She should seek help.
