Trump really isn't bright enough to troll anyone. He's just an idiot child narcissist.

It’s as good an explanation as any. Norms are important in politics and government. But norms get a fair amount of their bite from fear. Fear that if you break them, you’ll come in for damaging criticism and lose public support. But while there probably was a public opinion backlash to Trump’s norm breaking (he was very unpopular on Election Day), the backlash wasn’t enough to cost him the race.
To Trump, winning retroactively justifies everything that came before, and the fact that his win was so unexpected will give him confidence that future taboos can be shattered without cost. This was evident in his behavior long before he entered the political arena.
Business norms say that if you hire someone to do some work for you, you ought to pay them. Trump doesn’t follow those norms. He stiffs contractors everywhere he goes and is happy to wade into litigation rather than pay, knowing that many people can be bullied into accepting less than 100 percent of what they are owed to avoid high legal bills.
Before Trump became a major political figure, I would have thought you couldn’t practice business this way because nobody would work for you. But Trump just moves on to newer places. There’s no Trump Hotel in New York, but he does have a brand new one here in DC, and DC-area contractors are learning what contractors in Atlantic City learned long ago — Trump doesn’t pay up. He defaults on his debts, rips off his shareholders, and defrauds the students at his fake university.
Trump was able to keep making more and more money and becoming more and more famous acting this way, and so he did. By the same token, all his political norm breaking — from his bizarre tweets to refusing to release his tax returns to suggesting Ted Cruz’s father was involved in JFK’s assassination — didn’t derail, and may at times have helped, his election. He’s going to do what he’s going to do, and the reality is he’s right: He won.
The reason Trump doesn’t need to release his tax returns, or resolve the financial conflicts of interest inherent in his ownership of the Trump Organization, or explain his thinking about Russia clearly is that Republicans haven’t made him.
Congressional Republicans know how to play hardball if they want to.

BTW, I highly doubt Trump is a germophobe if he's had what- 6 kids...Sex is messy, kids are messy...
Not like he had to touch the prostitutes if they were doing a "show" anyway.
Oh, and pee is pretty sterile when it comes out, that's why you can drink it.
I don't buy it in the slightest. He sounds guilty as hell.

The reason that Trump doesn't have to release his tax forms is because Trump doesn't have to release his tax forms. Right or wrong, there is no law stating that somebody running for president has to release their tax forms.
That being said, maybe there is something in there to worry about? Maybe not? I think, more than likely, he's choosing not to release them because no matter what his detractors are going to find things in there to bash him with, even if they are just things that every single person with businesses as large scale as his do. From what I've heard, his tax returns are over 12,000 pages long. It's not exactly your standard 1040, and I doubt anybody in the RWED, or any average citizen who is not a damned good CPA would understand any of it anyways (which lends itself to even more Fake News being spread about it in sound bytes).
I reserve judgement on any of this until we see what he does as President starting on the 19th.
I will remind everyone here (most of which were not here 10 years ago), that I was among GWB's largest detractors here. Unlike a lot of people in the RWED who think that "their party" can do no wrong, I will be the first to call Trump on his bullshit when the time comes.
I thought we were talking about Fake News here, BTW...
As to anybody who thinks Trump is an idiot... that's just amusing.

Good lord, what a lot of fuss over nothing.
The dossier is sheer gossip, literally. It consists of unverifiable statements by unidentifiable people .... "X" told me "Y" .... full of misspellings and provable lies (for example, that one of Trump's contacts went to Prague) and with some evidence that at least PART of it was made-up whole cloth by 4chan, and picked up as fact.
So, somebody writes a hit piece on Trump, Trump is briefed on it, the "reporters" report on the briefing, and then the accusations and denials about the gossip and the reporting of the gossip and the reporting of the reporting and the gossip about the gossip and the gossip about the reporting reverberate for the next two months, if not more. The very definition of fake news.
Did it never occur to anyone to ask WHY Buzzfeed and CNN would "report" on this now, much less why they would "report" on it at all? This has even less credibility than the "birther" accusations.

Quote:Reserving judgment until Jan 20th means you wait until it is too late. A President can be a criminal, if he wants to be. Not knowing what is in Trump’s tax returns makes it easier for Trump not to be caught in the future, by Congress, being a crook or Trump being caught taking a bribe.

It would be far better if Congress would insist right this second that Trump turns over his tax forms. Congress does not have to pass a law to do that. All they need do is not approve any of Trump's appointments to the cabinet until Trump does reveal his tax returns.
But there is no chance Congress will stand in the way of Trump's plans in order to prevent a possible theft by Trump in the future. Congress does not think very far ahead.
Congress is letting Trump do with his so-called “trust” what Trump is doing with his taxes. The Office of Government Ethics Director Walter M. Shaub Jr. told Congress loudly and clearly that Trump is doing wrong, but Congress is ignoring ethics. Shaub said:

I think Politico called Trump's plan a “half-blind” trust, but it’s not even halfway blind. The only thing this has in common with a blind trust is the label, “trust.” His sons are still running the businesses, and, of course, he knows what he owns. His own attorney said today that he can’t “un-know” that he owns Trump tower. The same is true of his other holdings. The idea of limiting direct communication about the business is wholly inadequate. That’s not how a blind trust works. There’s not supposed to be any information at all.

I don't want to be lectured on the possibility of my choice for president being a criminal when it was very clear that your choice for president was and has been a criminal for decades.

And people wonder why Trump doesn't release his tax returns Sigs. I'd imagine Buzzfeed and CNN would have 8 years worth of things to blow out of proportion with that.
What nobody seems to mention is how we never got a look into the Clinton Foundations tax forms. I'm sure Hillary's personal tax forms were so non-incriminating as to make some wonder why they look SO good. Well obviously that's because all the illegal activity and expenditures they don't want anyone to know about were buried within that "Charitable" organization.
