Hey, just thought people might be interested in finding out a bit about the Halloween 2004 London event. Amy Acker & Juliet Landau were also there.

I have written up a detailed (and rather girly, I'm afraid ) commentary on the event, where they all spoke lots about both ANGEL & BUFFY and I have posted it here:

Oh Dust, this was indeed of interest!! Wonderful photos, too, (you should post the link...just edit your post above) and I don't think I would have recognized James at all! DB's smirk is priceless. You are one lucky fan to have arms around two of the sexiest ex-vampires out there.

The thing I find extremely amazing is that whenever stars appear "Across the Pond," as it were, that there is such a close interaction with fans. You would *never* see that in the States...fans posing with actors? It would never happen! Perhaps because we U.S. fans are slightly crazy?

I'm jealous, but happy for you, considering your trip from NZ was probably long. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.

PS Drool drool drool over that photo!!!

Thanks so much for posting this. I was wondering what James was gonna look like after he shaved his head!

Er...and...as for the trip from NZ...it was arduous when I did it, but that was five & a half years ago... I'm a Kiwi living in London! I do think I scored points with David when I mentioned that though - I think he also assumed I had flown over specially

Me again, LOL, I went through all the photos and noticed that David does look a lot better than he did on the final seasons of Angel. He seems healthy and fit, like you said in your blog, and I wonder if this has to do with the fact that he's now able to take time off to relax and get healthy after years of hard TV work.

Siiiiiigh...I have to stop looking at the photos because my jealousy is off the charts!

ETA: Did you notice James's knee brace on his right knee? Interesting.

Rhymephile, no - I didn't notice James' knee brace!!!! How weird is that?! I guess I was too busy staring at his face

And yes, David looked absolutely gorgeous, even right at the beginning when he said he felt rough; lucky sod to be so goddamn beautiful...sigh. And, if that wasn't bad enough, he actually looks BETTER in real life. BTW - neither James or David wore any makeup! Life is so unfair...grumble grumble.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll be paying off the joy of the whole experience on my credit card from now til Xmas 05! But would I pay for the 3mins or so of actual one-2-one-ness with David & James again? Hell YES!!!! If you ever do get the opportunity to meet any of them, DO IT! It is _so_ worth it. You learn so much unexpected stuff about Hollywood and the filmaking industry as well as the people themselves.

I went cause I'll be off home to NZ again in a year or so, so figured this might be my once in a lifetime chance to meet them. And because I was sick of being jealous of other people meeting them

Thank you so much for posting this. I am always so impressed with Joss Whedon fans and their generous natures. It was nice of you to take the time to write all that out and post a link here. I have not had a chance to meet any of the stars or writers, but I appreciate the chance to live vicariously through you and other fans who share their experiences. Thanks.

Hey Dust,

Just a fantastic report on the event - I was there but was too busy being 'in the moment' to take notes - I wanted to find a detailed report so I could torture all my buffy buddies about how great the event was, so now I have my photos and your words.

I remember you btw saying you were from NZ - did you fly all that way or are you in the UK on 'missionary' duty??

And don't feel bad about the torture of fellow fans - they were at the White room Convention at the same time and their surprise guests included Nathan and Morena so it will be a mutual torture thing - seeing as I couldn't be in two places at once.
