Firefly was unique in attracting and appealing to a wide range of people, as any cursory glance into RWED will tell you. Just because we all love Firefly does not mean we will agree on other things.

Well, so did I. Along with being a member of the OFFICIAL BOARD.

Which makes me still smarter than you to be able to recognize the great characters and writing and acting of Babylon 5.

You are a sad little man sitting on a sad little hill.

Hold on... you're confusing finding FIREFLY, as it was aired on t.v. ( which is when I found it, and was a fan from the very beginning ) with finding this fan page / message board ?

I'm resisting the urge. Even though I'm hearing very good things about it, I can't help but think... not only has this been done, it's been done, redone and done again !

Battlestar Galactica, anyone ? And yes, I know the original WW came out well before, but the basic premise, machines which look human start to become self aware... yeah, it's been done.

Doesn't mean I won't watch though.

Dammit.

Fair, but just so everyone knows: It mixes sci-fi and western, and Gina Torres was in the last episode.

Felicia Day tweeted this about it though: "Westworld and the way they deal with the women AI makes me really uncomfortable. Also that "theme park" needs more snack options. #dolewhip" I felt the same way.

What is she talking about regarding the women AI?

I've only seen the first episode, but I would expect she means how they are objectified, either as sex objects (Thandie Newton's saloon hall girl) or as the damsel in distress (Evan Rachel Wood).

You mean they self-objectify themselves? Those are the only AI templates or formats for the women?
