Me and my husband, and possibly one of my stepsons, will be seeing it on the big screen for the first time that weekend, in Seattle. I'm a pretty new Browncoat, just bought my own copy and saw it at home, but am looking forward with great anticipation to viewing it on a big screen with a roomful of other obsessive/compulsive fans.

I knew I should've bought the tickets earlier. But it didnt say sold out on the cantstoptheserenity page. NYC June 23rd screening of Serenity is sold out...NOOOOO!!! I was ready and willing to go, I'm so disappointed now I dont know what to do. I'm gonna miss the biggest day of the summer with some of the greatest fans in the world.

I have interviews in the city so I was gonna keep my formal suit on and buy some blue latex gloves...Blue Sun was almost ready... :(

Anyone know of anything I could do...or some other event? Maybe I'll just buy the dvd that day instead...

This will be my first time in the theater too! I bought the series and movie from Amazon when they showed up in my Gold Box. Having been a huge Buffy fan, I have no idea how I was unaware that Whedon had another series on Fox. I completely blame FOX for not adequately promoting their own show or schedualing to allow it to grow into its audiance. When the movie came out I was too busy and it was gone by the time I had time. I am so excited and it is playing in Old Town Pasadena, an area I love. I am still keeping my hopes up for a Big Damn Sequel. Now that I fell in love with this verse and the characters, I am not ready to let go.

I have a friend (not yet a member because she hasn't seen everything yet) who will not only be seeing it for the first time on the Big Damn Screen, but for the first time ever! isn't that shiny? And then she'll probably join but will have been too late to post here, so I'm going to speak for her on this thread

I think you are the only one an this thread that still peeks in now and again...

Wonder what happened to lots of these people. Are they dressing up as star wars characters now?

Not sure if I ever noticed this thread first time around. If I did I might have ignored it since I had seen the BDM on the BDS several times by then, starting with one of the advance screenings on 5/5/05.
