This episode follows OMR in scripting, filming, and airing, albeit with a week delay due to baseball.
The airing of this 7th episode was still prior to Shindig, Safe, or Pilot Serenity, making it the 4th episode aired.

This is the last episode filmed prior to the very first airing of Firefly, with The Train Job.

IIRC this may be the first time we see Simon openly swear or blasphemize.
This may also be the penultimate Jayne get-up, having tried out numerous quirky outfits in prior episodes.

My favorite line might be Kaylee's "have good sex!"
