‘Freak Accident’ That Killed Anton Yelchin May Be Due to Recently Recalled Jeep

Yelchin’s car was the same “model that Fiat Chrysler recently recalled after its unconventional gear shifter led to several documented rollaway accidents.”

Per Jalopnik, “Fiat Chrysler said in a recall notice that the shifter confusion had led to 41 injuries

It has been recalled BUT, he didn't put the truck in "Park". Why didn't he put in park? Why was he at the gate? And FYI, I am NOT a Chrysler fan, everyone I know with a MOPAR has had transmission problems. But we're never going to know why he jumped out of the truck, ran down to the gate, and didn't put it in park.

My FORD Focus was recalled for transmission issues, all they did was to plug it into a computer. That's what they have to do with the JEEP, plug it into a PC and wait a few minutes.

Seems a bit weird that in Star Trek he played a genius navigator and also pilot, but IRL he died from buying an E-Shift transmission.
