Inaraesque: Sounds good. Ping me when you get online. I will actually be on and off today, like usual - unlike Monday nite, bleeeeeeh, achooo.

Squee: Shoot, That'll be up to Astriana. But I can't see Zoe being incompetent when searching for a weapon or tool during a pat-down. There may be something in the room you could use to your nefarious purpose, be creative. If you run into a block, IM me.

Debs: Good luck with the verdamt comp-u-tater!

I know it's not the answer you want, hon, but I can't think for a second that Zoe would leave Damon unfrisked after he just pulled a knife on one of her crew... But as Gowron tells us: "There are always weapons!"... Use your creativity... Capn's available by IM today and I'm available via e-mail (since I'm at work) if you need ideas...

Edit: A thought occurs - was there something you wanted them to find/not find during a pat-down? If so, e-mail and we'll work it out.

OK guys, give Damon a break here. Possibility that he wanted to VOLUNTARILY disarm himself, not have any nefarious plans :-)

Kid may be wantin' to turn over a new leaf.

~ However Squee, they are both right. After two freakouts in one day, he was gettin' his pockets stripped, no question.

Me, I think he WAS lucky to retain his clothing, I would have been tempted to strip him down to his tighty-whities just in case.

Hey! Quit givin' away my ideas!

Seriously, I thought about it, but figured Zoe wouldn't do so in front of all those folks... LOL!

I guess I should clarify a bit cuz i think my question was misunderstood. I was asking if Zoe could do the search 'now' as opposed to in the galley so that I could have Damon respond to it.

(Yes, Debs, you just about nailed it. A couple days ago, I had already figured that Damon would turn his own pockets inside out and give Zoe his knife and oath that he has nothing else on him in hopes that she won't have to get hands on.)

But it's not really important so no worries. My own fault for not knowing what "please take our young charge in hand fer a moment." means.

Not so much the words, Squee, but the action should have tipped you.

Even tho "taken in hand" is a {military, police etc} code sometimes used to let another member of your team to do a frisk - without letting the suspect know he was going to get patted down.

You've never been in the military or police, so I would suspect you to be ignorant of that code. Unless you were a military/police movie/TV show fan, LOL.

However, One watching and knowing Firefly, One should know, Mal ordering it or not - Zoe would remove any potential weapons from the perps vicinty.
Savvy?

Hey Capn,

Been enjoying Mal especially here lately - I can really hear his voice reading your words.

Tell me, cause I am curious.

Pulling that prank/test on Damon was not only on or for Damon was it? That was a test for ALL of the hitchers am I right?

Forced the same kind of gut reaction as that bizarre, psycho thing he did to Simon. Which way will the bunny hop under stress? I can see that, especially since he may need to know relative strengths and weaknesses on the morrow ... yeah, that's the Mal who put Jayne in the airlock.

Do I see it right? Or am I just blowin' smoke up your skirt?

Cheers,

Debs

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know that I think I'm going to one big post for Damon in his time out. It may take a couple days to finish. I don't think anyone will be needing a response from him but i wanted to make sure no one would be waiting on me.

and yes, I need to get River caught up, but my eyes won't stay open right now...
