Watch the blood splash as Jayne and Mal drill holes in prison guards. I'll say it one more time: Zack Whedon should not have made Mal and Jayne do that because it limits where the crew of Serenity can go next once all the law enforcement officers in the entire Universe want to capture or kill them. Think what happened after the Charlie Hebdo shooting, where only one policeman died. I was really hoping this comic would give a hint about what happened next. Yeah but that doesn't tell me if a plan went south or how they got in that situation. If that was the situation I fully expect the crew to shoot their way out.

If there were to be more comics, each comic ought to ignite a fuse that explodes in the next comic. And that comic lights another fuse and so on and on. But it is not happening.
The final Leaves on the Wind comic pours water on all fuses for all new stories, except for one I call "The Legend of Bonnie and Clyde". Now the crew of Serenity are Bonnie and Clyde because they killed a lot of lawmen in front of witnesses.
In the real Bonnie and Clyde movie, every lawman in Texas was extremely willing to hunt them down and kill them all. I think the same goes for Mal for the very first time in his soon to be ended life.
Lucky for Bonnie and Clyde, they could always steal a new car and throw the law off. I guess Mal could steal new spaceships to throw the law off his trail, but they would all have to be Fireflys. It would be like Bonnie and Clyde always stealing Ford Model T’s.
