Serenity on "American Dad"

On Sundays episode Rodger (the space alien) is in the attic building models, the biggest model hanging from the ceiling was Serenity. They've mentioned "Firefly" on the show before when they made a trip to Comic Con. I wonder if the writers of the show are Browncoats, or they do things like this to get dopes like me to make a big deal on fan sites like this to draw attention to the show?

No, "Jayne" didn't say a word. And the Kayleeish character is wearing a Jedi robe, not coveralls, but that is Serenity making swooshing noises as it flies across the sky.
