Possible hijack of this site?

This site has for the most part been pretty friendly since the git. The addition in the last few days of the "official" board members was good news to me and I've always enjoyed Arlo, the more the merrier.

But in the last few days I have seen alot of negatives on this site. Is this maybe somebody trying to sabatoge the show (or the rescue effort) by putting up pointless rants and misinformation in some cases?

If a fan driven board gets taken over by anti-fans (note: I am in no way calling people from the Fox board antifans)(or anyone else),then how does that look to any network that might consider picking it up?

This is FIREFLY country gorramit!!

I may lurk here a lot but I thought I would de-lurk and say we get this on the Buffy boards a lot. People who purport to be a fan of the show and then totally destroy it in their posts. We called these anti fans bezoars. Best thing is to ignore them.

(This is a great site btw I come here a lot for Firefly info)

What the hell is wrong with you people...are you reading the same posts I am....I can understand not agreeing with a person's opinion but this is just dumb and vicious...look no one on this board got the Show canceled...so don't take it out on the people here. we all like the show...we all get different things from that show...and the point of a fan site is to discuss the various opinions we have about the show...if you want to make rude derogatory venomous remarks then go to slashdot they will love you there. If the posts are to long for you or take ideas to places you don't want to go THEN DON'T READ THEM!!

Yes Xed has been dumb and vicious but if you are talking about the replies then you are wrong. Xed has been posting flat out untruths (see his money post for an example) and is doing the critical equivalent of yanking on his

MillerNate, I have the ability to delete/edit posts. In your opinion, would it be appropriate to utilize my forum moderator status to quell XED's rampage? I have had issues with his posts as well, and I am debating if Admin. Action is appropriate in this case.

If I may speak up, would it be possible to send them to Troll Country? It seems like this is the sort of thing it was designed for--people can say whatever inflammatory bullshit they want there without the fans feeling like they have to take it to heart.
