I'm excited now. I've always appreciated that the Angel DVDs have some of the actors on the commentaries. It's nice to know some of them took time out of their lives to amuse the fans. The one commentary that surprised me was David Boreanaz's for Soul Purpose. I was kinda hoping he would do one for the episode he directed. Though Smile Time doesn't have one. But it does get its own featurette.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying, but just so everything's clear: David Boreanaz did direct "Soul Purpose."

Yeah, I'm looking forward to commentary on that, but ugh, I wish DB had chosen another episode besides the crappy "Soul Purpose" to both provide commentary on and direct. Other than the pretty funny scene with Fred pulling his guts out along with his heart ("It really is a dried-up walnut!") that ep is rather bad, IMO.

I hate having to wait until February though!

ETA: There are 8:51 minutes of gag reel! Whoo hoo!
