So speaketh the waste of skin that is Kanetroll.

a better script would have been really nice. The one they had sucked, as did the directing.
I can see that the script could have been better, but the direction seemed fine to me...visually it looked nice, it had a good pace...what was wrong in your opinion?

I really don't understand all the criticism of X3. I've been an X-men fan for 12 years and felt the characterisation was much better in X3. Wolverine finally acting like a tough guy. Cyclops finally being the whiny git he really is. Storm displaying some leadership qualities. Rogue getting some backbone. Professor X showing his machiavellian side.
Compare to X2 where Stryker and mastermind were basically completely altered, and Lady Deathstrike didnt even have lines. Storm in the first two films was a wallflower and Wolverine strutted around like a male model. Get some perspective.
And as for too much going on - I personally felt the first two films had nowhere near enough happening. Not for X-men films. X3 was much nearer the mark all round, and laid some interesting foundations for future plot developments (if the franchise continues I predict Apocalypse, Onlsaught, the mutant massacre, and Magneto turning good). It's my favourite. Bryan singer is an over-rated hack.

I guess some folks wanted Jean to die on the moon, in front of the Starjammers.

maybe DOFP, I wasn't a massive fan of the original trilogy but moments in the first trilogy were very good

Why did I like Days of Future Past?
maybe i liked its retro looks history
the movie is very well shot
actors from both generations
the Quicksilver scene

btw there is a new trailer

while I'm not the biggest fan I admit its a cashcow for marvel comics and fox studios

Saw the trailer before seeing SW:TFA . Really not sure about this one. Younger X-Men crew in a Armageddon battle w/ ' the First ' ? Am I watching Buffy or what ? The whole premise seems beyond silly. I must be missing something here.

Hmmm...does The Wolverine count as an X-Men movie? Once Logan got his healing powers back, he was totally at his ass-kicking best!

In many ways, though, I'm leaning towards Days Of Future Past, even though they didn't really do it right re the Sentinels - those things were just too damn good in the movie. With such capabilities they should've been able to wipe out the mutants with relative ease.

I also can't decide between the movie version and the Rogue Cut (I waited for this before buying the DVD) - and I was highly annoyed that Charles' resurrection and Magneto's regaining of his powers weren't dealt with. Plus there's a time discontinuity between DOFP and The Wolverine; in the coda Charles and Erik seemed to be talking about the Sentinels, this being given further gravitas by the ad being shown for Trask Industries, whereas DOFP is set some 30 years later.

I did, however, love the scene where Logan's remonstrating with the Mafia (?) thugs and he pops his claws, expecting to see the adamantium blades...forgetting that 1973 Logan doesn't have the adamantium yet! (Not, of course, that that stopped him from kickin' ass once again - two things you can count on Logan to be are a) consistent and b) reliable!)
