It's on Netflix but produced by Marvel. Not exactly new, it dropped back in April.

Great show, I enjoy it quite a bit.
It's the first of a series of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows that will also include Jessica Jones (recently released), Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
The plan is to eventually team them all up for a Defenders show.

I finished Jessica Jones last night. I liked it more than Daredevil, but in both cases there were too many episodes for the story they were telling, too much repetition of action. 6-8 eps would have been about right instead of 13.
I liked the tie-in to Daredevil in the finale.

Interesting, as i had the exact opposite view of both DD and JJ.
See, I really hated the Ben Affleck version of DD, as well as thinking the character is pretty lame as well, so when I tuned into the Netflix series, I was ready to hate it from the start.
I didn't hate it. In fact, I found it quite interesting. FAR more compelling than the movie.
Now, as for Jessica Jones, I had no clue about the character, but I had become a big fan of Ms Ritter, so I was really anticipating seeing more of her. As well as David Tennet. Yay # 10!!
And while Jessica Jones was watchable, I found it less interesting than DD. For similar reasons, too repetitive, too slow, and hardly any humor, dark or otherwise, to be found.
I did enjoy the very subtle tie-ins to other "events" in NYC, the big green guy, and such. And yes, the last few eps really did pay off, imo. REALLY enjoyed the cross over w/ DD ... that was a welcome sight.
Apparently the critics LOVED Jessica, so there's hope. I'm looking forward to DD season 2. When's that start up ?

I'm guessing DD season 2 will come out in April, just like season 1.
I'm looking forward to it.

And Luke Cage should start around that time too, and Rosario is supposed to appear in it as well.
