I'm not quite so happy with this story, but, I've edited it to death and figured I just needed to post it.

Thanks for the support while I write this dark little tale and I hope this story satisfies all of you bloodthirsty people waiting for Badger to get what's coming to him.

Yes, yes, don't whine its too short! I could write 20 pages and you'd whine about the same thing! :)

Mal, Jayne and Zoe stood in the center of the large room, filled with elegant furnishings and rich, colorful murals. They looked around in awe, not often privy to seeing such elegance, much less being invited into it.

River simply examined one of the murals with a critical eye, murmuring to herself while they waited for Harrow to arrive.

“It’s been a long while since someone examined that piece so thoroughly.” The large man stood beside River, smiling appreciatively down at her.

River cocked her head and squinted at one corner. “I hope you didn’t pay

My God, can they PLEASE kill NIska now? He keeps messing up their lives.

Can they kill Badger and then Niska?

I think they need to capture Niska and just let Simon have his way with both of them

Great installment! Simon should be able to get a punch or two in! I hope they really torture Niska, maybe he should lose more than an ear! Inara acting pissy with Simon? That does not bode well for the doctor, maybe it's her own guilt about covering up Kaylee's attack....can't wait to see how this all unfolds! Love your work!

Ah yes the promise of dark, painful, vengence on those as hurt Kaylee and Inara. Please, let it be Simon to make it excruciatingly painful and slow... and did I mention painful... and slow.

i kinda wish they got to beat on badger a little more. but i guess niska deserves the brunt of the blame. will mal have to watch as niska torments his crew some more? ai ya, this is gonna be interesting. hope we get to see inara kick some ass too.

So... Kaylee's been extra hungry the past few weeks. Is there a bun in the oven, and is it Simon's or the attacker's? I bet River already knows.

Another brilliant chapter!

You never fail to amaze me! I loved this one, the characterization, the flow, the pace. It was brilliant!

I can't wait for the next installment!

Nice interrogation. You kept the pace up nicely. Would have liked to see a bit more equal opportunity Badger abuse, but given what we've seen tonight, the next chapter looks like a real crack up!

Kill 'em both!

Well now....while Badger got off mightly lightly, I think the crew did the right thing by not just torturing Badger. Need more information about Niska....

And I have honestly thought Simon to be one of the most dangerous members of Serenity's crew behind Mal, River and Inara. All four of them are more than capable of doing horrific things to a person that pisses them off because of their lives, training and skill sets. I think that Simon should get last blow on Niska...after Mal has laid waste to the psychopath;)

I love the notion of making Badger lead them to Niska, that will make sure that if by some unhappy bit of misfortune the twisted sumbitch escapes the crew's revenge that at least Badger won't be ratting them out any more - at least, not if he has one working brain cell in his back stabbing little mind. OH MY GOD!!!!!!

I think i actually stopped breathing for a moment.

Fantastic stuff.

My only complaint is that you're not writing/posting fast enough.
Does that sound greedy? If you weren't so good i wouldn't be so demanding.

Want More..............PLEASE!

I see excruciating pain in Badgers future, and a heapin' helpin' a butt-whupin' will be brought down on Niska's ugly lil' head! NO ONE crosses a Tam and gets away whole!!!!!

Awesome! I love the idea of scaring the sh** out of Badger to make her really fear what they could do to him. River alone could bring on all sorts of painful torture. And yay for Kaylee and Simon - but won't the fallout be 100x worse when the truth is finally revealed?
I'm glad Jayne, Mal and Zoe managed to keep some of their emotions in check - Badger needs to be useful before he's dead.

>but won't the fallout be 100x worse when the truth is finally revealed?

That is, indeed, the question . . . I do so love ansgt.

>i kinda wish they got to beat on badger a little more. but i guess niska deserves the brunt of the blame

Oh, the fun isn't over with Badger and Niska.

>I have honestly thought Simon to be one of the most dangerous members of Serenity's crew

It's always the quiet ones. . . and we've already seen in the series what he is willing to do to protect those he loves.

>My only complaint is that you're not writing/posting fast enough.

Once a day isn't enough? And here I thought I was getting them out pretty fast!

Thanks as always for the comments, folks, wasn't sure how this dark turn in the story would be received but so far I've gotten positive feedback and it encourages me to write faster.

River being described as an elegant creature, good word usage.

*River uncrossed her arms from behind her back and sauntered sexily toward him again.*
I'll be in my bunk.

So many good lines in this one:
*For the first time in his life, he was envious of Jayne.*

“Doc said to take an eyeball first,”
YAY SIMON!

Weasely lit'le cunt, I hope they don'w trust him any farther than Jayne can throw him.
