Kaylee woke to her stomach growling, the sound muffled slightly by Simon’s back, but still loud enough to wake her out of a sound, exhausted sleep. She yawned and wrapped her arm tighter around Simon’s waist and snuggled against his back, cheek resting at the middle of his shoulder-blades. She was warm and comfortable and she didn’t want to move. But the insistent grinding of her stomach forced her to resign herself to the fact that she was going to have to get out of bed.
Slowly, carefully, so she didn’t wake her sleeping fiancé, she extricated her limbs from around his waist and slid out of bed. She stood there motionless for a moment, orienting herself with the somewhat new layout of the room. The larger bed made the room seem much smaller but when she looked back at Simon, remembering how much room they’d had last night made the more confined space more than worth it.
She looked around the room for her clothes and in the dim light had to squint to make out any shapes. Lying on the table at the opposite side of the room was Simon’s shirt, haphazardly tossed away last night in t
And the crew's continued speculation, while a tad unhealthy, is quite humorous. Poor Mal, something tells me that he's eventually just not going to venture out of his bunk for fear of what River will tell him. Of course, if Inara's with him, maybe he wouldn't mind so much!
Write some more M/I! That would be fun!
Ha! Mal thinks he can keep secrets from River. He is indeed a boob.
“Never mind!” Mal stood quickly, nearly knocking over his chair. “Now what was this about Simon and Kaylee nearly breaking their new bed because if I have to buy them a new one – ”

Still damn good writing though.
I do have one request...if any M/I lovin' comes up, can it invovle sexin' the prude out of Mal? Cuz while his personal conservatism is funny, it just seems that Inara would have at least gotten him at least a little more open about things by now....(shakes head). Still...classic Mal riling, Leiasky:P

Mal isn't a prude at all. He just doesn't want to deal with all of the comments from the crew (well Jayne and river mostly) on him sexin' Inara that Simon gets with Kaylee.
They want to be a bit more private with their - still rather new - relationship.
