It was rare when the crew had a reason to celebrate. But after a job well done and a payment worth risking their necks to earn, they’d decided it was time to have a little celebration.

The stopped briefly to re-supply, to bring on some delicacies that were rare enough that they didn’t get to sample more than a few times a year. Real food, real fruit, and sweets that Kaylee would make sure would last for months.

Being far too close to Alliance controlled worlds, River and Simon were confined to the ship, something River hadn’t cared about anyway. She wanted to be with her girl – Serenity. But Kaylee, on the other hand, wanted to be with her man and pouted prettily at Mal begging him to let Simon go shopping with her.

But in the end, the Captain had refused and the couple parted for a few hours, Kaylee kissing him, Mal figured, within an inch of his life, just before leaving the ship.

“Hope that holds ya for a few hours,” Jayne smirked and followed the Captain off the ship, leaving River, Simon and Zoe in the cargo bay.

River turned to Simon, noticing the longing look on his face as he watched Kaylee walk away. “You’ve gone without for this long before. I’m sure you’ll live.”

Simon scowled at his sister and went back toward the Infirmary, hoping to busy himself

Great again, but this one was too short. I would have liked to have seen more Simon and River interaction while the rest of the crew was off the ship - just for fun, since you write their interactions so well.

But of course, I love Simon being tortured by pretty much everyone on the crew. :o)

Hee! I love this one, just like all the others. It's very fun, everyone's voices are spot-on.

And I'm REALLY curious...

I loved the Zoe/Jayne interaction, it was hilarious! Poor Simon, that's all I ever think whenever you have him in a room with River. Great Job:D!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The 101 ways to commit murder ... was an especially inspired touch - especially with River's comment "That one would hurt me more than you."

God do I love bratty River and exasperated Simon!

Jayne is one of a minority of folks that actually cares about alcohol abuse. Good on him for that.
