Simon smiled to himself as he stepped into his room to clean up for dinner. He’d been busy working on non essential areas of Serenity that hadn’t been repaired or cleaned prior to liftoff. On his way past the bed, he reached out and touched the blanket, remembering how just this morning he had woken up with Kaylee snuggled in his arms.
It was all still a little unbelievable, how happy he felt. His sister was better than he’d ever seen her, healing, after the Miranda incident. And Kaylee – well life with Kaylee these last few weeks had been a rollercoaster ride of exhaustion. She was insatiable and he found that she brought things out in him that he had not even known he possessed.

Simon shook his head, trying to get the arousing image of her out of his mind. It was nearly dinner time. It would not do to arrive in the galley with a hard on. He chuckled softly to himself, knowing, despite how horrified he’d be, that Kaylee would simply take his hand and lead him out of the room to take care of it.
As he dried his hands, he heard Kaylee slip into the room, maybe to share a private few minut
