I didn't want to post this until I'd tweaked it, but I don't think I'm ever going to get around to it (seeing as how it took me an entire weekend last fall to get this far!). I made it smaller and put it in JPG format to post, but it looks better (less grainy and the text is clearer) in its original 1400x1000 size and as a BMP. Anyway, enjoy!

Yes, all of those images are either from screencaps or publicity stills of the movie. I tried to pick scenes that represented love or the feeling of family between characters (and I include the ship as a character!). I've since gotten my hands on a better set of screencaps, so I might try and revamp this sometime in the future - we'll see.

Nice wallpaper!

One note is Mal actually says "keels" rather than "keens". I've heard keel used alot to mean "to pass out" or die growing up in the south but it can also mean "stagger".

DakCobb - no I'm pretty sure it's "keens" - as in to lament or mourn, a response to pain (emotional or physical). Also, I just double checked it in the Visual Companion script. :)

I stand corrected. :) The subtitles in the DVD say keel though. :p

Another excellent piece of work! :) Fantastic colors; fantastic design; and the sort book-leather brownish color is really quite chique.

on the dvd it says keel in the subtitles. plus the definition of keel is "to capsize or cause to capsize" according to dictionary.com
