Short Serenity animation in Lightwave

Sunday, January 1, 2006

Hi guys! This time I tried to do a short animation with Sean's Serenity model. Though it's very short, I think it looks pretty good. I uploaded it here: http://s61.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1JOOGVTCP911X1O3ZVNM8WSY54

Below is a screencap from the clip.

I wish you could have seen my face... my eyes nearly dropped out of their sockets.

The only word that can describe it is "professional". It gives you exactly the right feeling for the mass of the Serenity and you managed to aply the famous "cheese aspect" to it.

I want more!

Thanks CBY!
I'll try to do more, but it's just very time-consuming to render; and as you've mentioned, the feel needs to be good, wich takes a lot of time to try things out, and see what works and what doens't. But it's nice to see the result is appreciated :-)
I'll definately try to do more of these.

That clip absolutely reeked of awesomeness!

Are you going to do different animations or add to this one?

Spacehopper, I think I'll do different animations; I like to do "busy" scenes; with lots of planets and lots of space ships, though that takes a lot more time to render, it might just be worth it :-)
But I'm thinking of doing all kinds of different animations; and than put it in one 2:30-minute movie, with the Going for a ride track playing under it. Just a thought :-)

damn fine mate. Of course the surface of the ship could use more detail, but the pan/fly by was flawless. Nice animation and render

I love all your Lightwave work, especially the wallpapers. It's nice to get new views of the ship. Keep it up!
