CHAPTER 1
JAYNE:
“Be back by first light, we load that cargo then.” The Captain told him as he got ready to leave.
“That early? Might as well stay on board.” Jayne grumbled.
“Good, hate for you to miss out on Shepard’s mystery dinner.” Mal laughed as Jayne grimaced, dinners lately had been bottom of the barrel, not enough coin for supplies. Things had not been going well, Captain couldn’t find any jobs way out here. They had finally landed to pick up some goods for Sir Warwick and Mal had said he could stay out all night. Big deal, he didn’t have the coin to get drunk and laid.
When he came into the whorehouse, he knew he had to limit his drinking, after a month stuck on little no account planets this was the closet he had been to a whore, except Inara. He sat at a table and ordered a drink. ‘Hell, how’s a man suppose to have a good time on just one drink’ he thought to himself as he watched the ladies look him over. He enjoyed looking, they had some tasty girls here. He sipped his drink to make it last, he made up his mind and walked over to the Madam.
“Hey there big fellow, see something you like.” She smiled up at him.
“Yeah, want the blonde over there, the one with the big breast.” Jayne was about ready to pop just from watching her. “Want her for the whole night.” He held out his hand with all his money.
“Well, you have good taste. Mandy is one of our best and most expensive, I’m not sure you could afford all night.” She looked Jayne over and liked what she saw. He had treated the girls with respect and had come to her for permission, she hated to say no, but Mandy was a big draw and few could afford her period, much less for a whole night. She guessed that Jayne was a spacer and had to cram a whole months worth of sex into one night.
“You look like a good, honest man, so I’m going to give you a break. I have a new girl that might benefit from a night with a man like you, think you could teach her a thing or two.” She wave over a skinny young thing, had blonde hair, but no breast to speak of. “

P.S. I love the title as well, is it a reference to the Terrence McNally play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune?
