Excellent! And all full of creepifying what-ifs that I can hardly wait for more. I was surprised Simon didn't go off his tree and hit Mal when he doped River, he does have that tendancy to lash out as a final resort. Just hope the Captain and crew take enough precautions before stepping right into the mouth of madness. Good myth, Ali D :~)

My only problem so far is that you have Simon calling Mal by his given name. The only ones who do that are Wash, Jayne, and Inara. Otherwise it's shaping up into an interesting tale.
