I take no shame or embarassment to the fact that the costume is not 100% screen accurate. It was assembled via clothes items I found around the house or was gifted with with the exception of the helmet (emblem was a commision piece) and the airsoft rifle.
Other 'nitpicky' items could also include: the gun is the G36K rather than the baseline G36, the upictured suspenders are snap-fastened rather than button, the unpictered vest is a western brown leather style rather than the original design red,the unpictured footware are not riding boots, the undershirt is a khaki t-shirt and not the rough burlap like undershirt, and the complete lack of chainmail sleeves.

Hey! Any person who makes an effort deserves praise. I imagine that in the FF universe, not every soldier would necessarily have the same equipment. For the effect, I'd say you did a fine job. The helmet is very nicely done by the way.

I think it's a great costume! The only thing that stuck out to me were the brown Chuck Taylors. And that's easy to solve. A pair of lace-up combat boots will probably run less than $20 at military surplus outlet.

I think the brown coat is perfect. Cool costume, need to get a costume myself.
