Inara had to do something. With her standing among Serenity's crew at its' lowest ebb she would have to look elsewhere for any support. Much as the Companion disliked the idea there had only ever been one option open to her. Putting it off did not make the choice any easier to accept. Going to her dresser Inara removed the flimsy from the secret compartment, the thin file looking so innocuous in its' plain buff folder. Inara, Inara ... off once more to do something she probably shouldn't without telling anyone! When is she going to learn that she needs to explain, that the crew will understand, probably help? As for Badger, how can a weasel fall in such deep cao and come up smelling of roses? And Simon ... no wonder he was sick - finding out his father traded his sister for him. I love Jayne's reaction, though.

Poor Simon. At least he knows all the integrity was on his side.

Yes, Jane0904, you would think Inara had learnt by now but she is trying to prove something. As for Badger often the most odious characters seem to be the ones that land on their feet. As for Simon you are right Katesfriend he does have great integrity, it is one of the qualities I most admire about him. Thank you for the feedback! Ali D :~)
