The silence in the room should have been uncomfortable but it wasn't. Rather it was a place of peace and tranquility, as restful as a leafy arbour. Her face tilted up to where the House Mistress sat, not behind her desk but in a chair facing her troubled charge.

Inara should never have taken the images as gospel without checking first. Surely she cares enough for the Captain not to necessarily believe it at first hand? As for heading to Osiris ... it will be fascinating to see your thoughts on Gabriel Tam. I've seen him written as an out-and-out villain, a dupe, and everything in between. What will yours be?
