What is with Summer's hair though? Every time I see it like, it just screams out to me as "not River"... looks so much more "River" when it's all wild and looks like she just woke up in the morning. See the pictures posted by Shinygoodguy or two if you don't know what I mean.

from pilot, right after river gets out of the box. the gold gown came off Innara. wet hair from the crio.

Rickker is right. This is from the original pilot - Serenity. The hair is courtesy of the cryo box. The rest of the time her hair (loved it) was courtesy of not washing it for several days (according to Summer). I liked the look she had in Safe and Objects in Space.
