This one of course features the scene from "Our Mrs. Reynolds." I am practicing with some new texture techniques I read about in a tutorial. Basically you put a textured background over your main image and set it to "overlay." Then you have to go in and do some color correcting and some deletion where the texture interferes with people's faces and what have you. I think this one turned out pretty shiny. Too bad Saffron is the only one who got naked here. :)

What a great collage! And your texturing effects were marvelous! Wow... very nicely done! The only problem I saw was that the text gets a little washed out next to the lights.
Do you do any of this professionally? I may have something to ask you to do if you're interested...

BRAVO! -claps- Wonderful overlay effect. Great choice of theme with the Mal/YoSafBrig scene. Super shiny!

I love the creases. I mean, I love the whole thing, it's beautiful, but the creases were particularly cool. How'd you do them?

Thanks, all. Answers to some of your questions:
GwenHarker--Vrya at Tangled Synthesis has some great tutorials. She goes over masks, textures, making your own custom brushes, etc. Her website is here: http://vrya.net/ts/
Gojiro--The creases were a great side effect from using the texture technique I briefly described. I used a marble stock image that had those creases in it, and set it to overlay on top of the wallpaper image. The marble had some specks and grit as well that added even more texture. There were some lines going over Mal and Saffron's faces, so I had to get rid of some of that marbley background so they weren't so obscured, but otherwise just some simple color correction and the overlay effect did the rest of the work for me.
nRKangel--I definitely wanted the text to be obscure, just so you get a hint of what's being said and also so it looks more integral to the piece rather than just slapped on there. Everything I do is self-taught, I haven't worked in the computer graphics industry or taken any classes or anything. If you have a fun project you'd like me to look at I'd be happy too, although this is just a hobby for me. Unfortunately my real job isn't nearly as fun. I work with lawyers all day, which is why I like to go home and immerse myself in other worlds. :)
